Spoiled by Great Nana

One of the advantages of having divorced parents is that Gracie has LOTS of grandparents and many of them are still living.  My stepdad's mom is a beautiful quilt maker and she made Grace the most beautiful quilt in her bedroom colors (green, cream and purple).  I can't wait to see it in her big girl room later this year.  Grace was in love with it instantly and has really enjoyed playing on it.  In addition, Great Nana also sent her a handmade Raggedy Ann doll and a little quilt for the doll.  Grace loves, loves, loves them both.  She often times wants me to lay out the little quilt so she can lay on it.  We are really blessed to have such talented quilters in our family (my mom also makes beautiful stuff).  I know Grace will treasure these things for years to come.

Family Time & Easter

Grace's Nana & Grandpa came to visit on the April 14th and Nana stayed with us while Grandpa went on a golf trip the next week. We had a wonderful visit, as always, and even got to take in some of the sites with Nana.  We headed to the World of Coke and had a great time.  Nana got to explore a little more than we did, but we ALL enjoyed the tasting room.  Afterwards, we headed over to Centennial Olympic Park to let Grace play on the playground.  I was completely worn out from all the walking and having braxton hicks contractions, so I rested in the shade while Grace gave Nana a run for her money on the playground.  It was a really fun day.

1st time having soda - Sprite and it was glorious!  :)
Going down the slide and loving it!
We did our Easter celebration a little differently and I loved it. Next year we'll refine it even more to have ALL the non-Jesus related Easter stuff happening on Saturday so Sunday can just be about our Risen Lord.  We also want to plan on doing Easter baskets after nap so the kids aren't hopped up on sugar all day.  :)   Grandpa didn't get home until Saturday night so we did wait this year until Sunday after nap to do Grace's Easter basket and the mini-Easter egg hunt.  She didn't care about even opening the eggs, so we may not fill them and just do candy in their baskets, we'll have to see how it goes as they get older.  Anyway, our friends the Dreher's joined us for dinner Saturday night and it was lovely.  Here are a few pictures from our celebration:

All dressed up for church!

With Nana & Grandpa - this was the only decent shot as she was more interested in Nana's bead bracelets than looking at the camera.
At this point, our little princess was PAST being done with the photos, the tears commenced shortly thereafter
Opening the easter basket - she loved the big eyed bunny & duck she from Nana

Hunting for Eggs - found one!
