Here are a few more pictures I've taken of our sweet girl recently. I haven't had a chance to work more with the videos as we've been feeling crappy here in the Bilbo house over the last few days, but hopefully this week. :) For now, enjoy these cute photos of our beautiful girl.

WV Surprise
This post is a little out of order, but it took me until today to figure out how to load the videos off the camcorder. I love Canon, but their software that came with our new video camera is not user friendly. Anyway, better late than never...
On Tuesday, February 2 we headed up to Fairmont. This trip was a surprise for her birthday so only my stepdad Mike knew we were coming. I got there just as mom & Uncle Wally had left for an estimate, so I headed up to my Aunt Reta's to visit with them while I waited for Mom to get back. It was a neat surprise that my cousin Jenn & her family were there too, including her new addition Truman Wallace who was born on Jan 19. I know where the key is, so I just let Grace & I in. We walked in and John was the first to see us and he looked at me like I was from outer space and said "what are you doing here?". It was so funny to see my Aunt Reta & Jenn's faces as I walked into the living room where they were hanging out. They looked at me the same way! It was so much fun surprising everyone. :)
Just on a whim, Aunt Reta had happened to make a huge pot of stew for dinner that night so she came up with the plan of inviting mom & Mike to dinner to get them up to the apartment. She also came up with the idea of having her at the door hollering at my mom to come help and she'd be standing at the door with both Truman & Grace in her arms and I'd be hiding. I can't really explain in words how it all went down, but there is video...enjoy!
To be fair, my cousins often have their friends and their friends children over to my Aunt's house, so mom didn't even think it could be Grace. And needless to say, Mom was completely surprised to see us. She was even more excited when I told her we'd be staying for a week. Since it was late after dinner we decided to just head home for the night and come back out tomorrow for her to meet her Great Grandma. So, on Wednesday mom & I headed over to my Grandma's house so she could meet Grace. Mom went in first and said to Grandma "I know you've been asking for a better picture of Grace...will this do?" and she had her look at Grace & I who had come in behind her. She was so surprised to see us! Grace got lots of spoils from her Great Grandma who just couldn't get enough of her. :) Having her meet her Great Grandma while she was still small was really important to me and another reason why we decided to make this trip when we did.
Over the week we had Grace's 2nd & 3rd snows (lots and lots of snow...close to 2 feet in total), we got to spend lots of quality time with Jenn, John, Maggie & Truman, Aunt Reta & my Grandma while Mom, Mike & Wally worked, and most importantly Grace got lots of snuggle time with her Grandma & Grandad. :) Here are just a few pictures from our time in Fairmont.

Our little Valentine
We had a very low key Valentines Day this year. David had bought me a beautiful bouquet of Roses and had them waiting on the mantle for me when I got home from WV. We also went out to lunch to celebrate with Grace after church on Sunday. It was a relaxing day with the 2 loves of my life. :) Here are a few pictures of Grace in her valentines dress.
Since she was making her first photographic debut as a Grasp Baby, we took lots more pictures in her first portrait session. There are lots that I haven't even started to process, but for now here are a few more that I just love.
More to come...

Our Atlanta Snow
We brought the snow home with us and on Friday 2/12 we got to enjoy one last day with the fluffy white stuff, this time with Daddy. It was Grace's 4th snow in a matter of days, not bad for a girl born in the south. :) We didn't stay outside too long, but we did get her all bundled up in her new-to-me snow suit and she looked so cute we had to take some pictures.
Our House in the SnowOur little Snow BabyWhat's funniest about me biting the dust here is that I had just said "It's slippery, I should walk in the grass - it's safer". 2 steps later, down I go! Hysterical! Rest assured, I kept my camera safe until David could come get it and of course snap a few photos of me laughing at myself.

So much to say...
It's been several weeks since my last post and there are really good reasons for my absence. I'll try to recap in a few posts instead of one long one as there are LOTS of pictures.
On Jan 31 Grace and I headed up to WV to meet the rest of my family. It's an 8 hour trip with no stops, so I anticipated a long drive. Gracie did great though - it only took me 12 hours with 2 stops to nurse and take care of her to make it to my dad's place in Elkins. She is such a good traveller and while I am now confident that travelling with David will be much easier, it's nice to know I CAN do it by myself.
We spent Sunday & Monday nights with my dad & stepmom in Elkins. It was so good to get to see them and have them see how much Grace had changed in just 4 short weeks. While we were there she got to meet a few of Linda's friends, got lots of play time with her Nana & Grandpa and experienced her first snow! Here are a few pictures from the first leg of our trip.
